An amazing old lady, converted in Singapore in 1995 by Reading and bates Construction then Operated by Amoco Orient and CNOOC with maersk Drilling as the contractor. I was with the rig during conversion and worked on her as Senior Toolpusher until 1998. best project I ever had the privilege of working on.

The rig in the picture is the Nanai Tiao Zhan. Originally built in Canada to be the Sedco 708. It never came out as such and was the Stadrill and West Stadrill before being bought in 1997 by Amoco and converted at Far East Levingston in Singapore in 1998 by Reading and Bates Construction for Amoco. It went out into the South China Sea in 1995.
