Sedco 704 anchored off Saltburn.

Saltburn is on the Cromarty Firth in northern Scotland. For the last 20 years it's been used for storing rigs whilst they're not needed.

I would say this is not the 704 but in fact the 706. Looking at the "bridge" and knowing the 706 worked alongside the Dunbar Platform I would say this is the Transocean 706.

When was the 704 in Rotterdam?

definitely the 706.

I was barge engineer on the 704 when it was in Rotterdam and I think it was 1992.

Thank you Ali. I am trying to remember if thats when I was there I was maintiance supervisor on the 704 for a good few years

The 704 didn't have that frame above 7&8 anchor winches, so I agree it is the 706.

Canna remember if you were in Rotterdam or not Jimmy. Much of it was a blur! Good times though.
