I worked as a Mud Logger on this Drillship when it was here in Trinidad and Tobago drilling for Amoco Trinidad Oil Co somewhere in the late 1970's or early 1980's. It was state-of-the-art at the time. On night, when I was on another rig in the area, I could hear on the Marine Radio that they took a serious kick between the 30" Conductor and 20" Casing and had to cut the stern anchor lines and pull with the bow anchor lines to get it off location because it was starting to sink because of the amount of gas in the water. Fortunately the well bridged itself over before catastrophe could occur.
